The Nike PG3 x NASA Influencer Seeding Kit Project
Nike Basketball challenged Olé to concept, design, and produce influencer seeding kits for the Nike PG3 x NASA.
Design Concept and Inspiration
Inspired by a quote from Paul, "Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon," we developed space-inspired packaging that drew visual queues from NASA redacted documents and the idea that influencers would be the first ones to "declassify" the footwear.
Packaging and Aesthetic Details
The lunar return kits that astronauts use to bring findings from the Moon back to the Earth inspired the personalized external casing. Inside the case, the sneakers and tracksuits were concealed in vacuum-sealed, Mylar packaging that disguised the product and resembled the iconic, freeze-dried ice cream packaging.
