DIGITAL X 2022: The Future is Now!

Innovation Digital-Event in Cologne: On September 13 and 14, visitors can experience the future live at DIGITAL X 2022 in Cologne. Across five stages, in over 100 locations, in workshops and the contributions from top speakers, everything revolves around the potential of digitalization for two days.

The 5G Square on Spichernstraße

In the middle of Cologne, Europe's largest digitalization initiative awaits visitors with an entire street that makes visible what the Telekom 5G network (T5G) already makes possible today: the 5G Square on Spichernstraße. We give you a small taste here of what awaits you on the street of the future.

Drone Airlift and 5G Robotics

Airlift with drones could provide a solution for transport problems, such as those seen with the closed highway bridge on the A45 near Lüdenscheid. With this technology, loads of up to 20 kilograms could be transmitted autonomously by air. The networking and industry experts of the family-owned company Koerschulte + Werkverein from Lüdenscheid stage this for the first time live on the 5G Square.

Furthermore, getting a new tattoo even though the tattoo artist is several kilometers away is now possible with the KUKA 5G Tattoo Robot. A real tattoo artist is located two or three kilometers away on Aachener Straße, while the tattoo robot in the 5G Square stings new favorite tattoos under their guidance. This is made possible thanks to 5G and an extremely low latency of under one millisecond.

Autonomous Mobility and Smart Cleaning

The tech company ek-robotics presents its vision for the future of mobility with autonomous forklifts—so-called driverless transport systems (FTS). Additionally, we present the latest innovations in the 5G Square, such as the KIRA B50 cleaning robot from Kärcher. We show in various places what is already possible today with autonomous robots.
