NextGen/Young Adult Services
NextGen/Young Adult Services is a free program for eligible young adults ages 16-24 seeking to gain work experience, enter the job market and plan for or launch a career. You may apply if:
- You are 16-24 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and not attending school.
- You are a college student under 25 nearing completion of a certificate or degree program.
- You are under 25 and attending an adult education program and nearing completion of a high school diploma or GED.
Through the Career Youth Exploration Program, participants can discover career pathways and gain hands-on experience. This program helps you to identify job opportunities you may qualify for now, research job industries, and receive guidance on “next steps.” It provides job readiness training for resume writing, interview skills, and teaches you how to market your skills to potential employers.
Support and Education Options
Participants can find On-The-Job Training (OJT) or a paid internship to gain experience. Additionally, explore Scholarship and Other Educational Options such as Florida Student Financial Aid, Federal Student Aid, and FastWeb to support your educational journey.
