Virtual Wine Tasting and Events at Gundlach Bundschu
For six generations and over 160 years, our family has farmed our Rhinefarm estate vineyard at the crossroads of the Sonoma Valley, Carneros and Napa Valley appellations. Today, we focus on making small lots of ultra-premium wines from our distinctive, historic and Regenerative Organic Certified® vineyards. Our 165-year-old property is known for our warm people, our cool climate and our creative spirit.
Visiting the Estate
We invite you to visit for a wine tasting, seasonal bites, vineyard tour or live music and experience our laid-back Sonoma vibe. Address: 2000 Denmark Street Sonoma, CA 95476. Our winery is open daily 11:00am – 4:30pm, though please note that last seatings are at 3pm. We are closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Years Day.
This private and explorative wine tasting is available for groups of nine or larger and is the perfect way to celebrate any special occasion in a big way! Additionally, the dramatic beauty of our 320-acre estate allows for endless possibilities when planning your Sonoma wedding.
Upcoming 2026 Festivals and Events
Gundlach Bundschu participates in several premier culinary events throughout the year:
- St. Louis Food and Wine Show: February 6, 2026. Featuring hundreds of wines, a selection of craft beers and culinary highlights at Union Station in Downtown St. Louis.
- Charleston Food and Wine Festival: March 4–8, 2026. This event celebrates two decades of culinary excellence in Charleston.
- Beaufort Wine and Food Festival: April 16, 2026. This annual celebration in Beaufort, NC, features celebrity chefs and specialty tastings.
The Bacchus Club and Virtual Experiences
Over 100 years ago Charles Bundschu established the Bacchus Club to gather family and friends to celebrate Rhinefarm, poetry and song―a tradition that continues today. Reflected in all Bacchus Club experiences are our family’s interests in discovery, history, culture, music and the arts, good food, laughter and, of course, great wine. Wine club members receive 15-20% off wine and merchandise, plus quarterly complimentary tastings. For those unable to visit in person, we offer Virtual Wine Tasting Experiences.
Our Heritage Wines
Since 1981, the Bundschu Family has crafted a limited Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve bottling from the most elegant and expressive barrels of the vintage with the designation Vintage Reserve. Sometimes there is a block, a single row of vines, or even just a few barrels that produce wines of distinctive and exceptional personality and heritage. The Bundschu Family series represents the absolute pinnacle of our efforts — the best fruit, the most intense focus, and the ultimate culmination of our family’s winemaking heritage.
Our selection includes:
- Estate Wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Mountain Cuvée.
- Specialty Varietals: Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, and Gewürztraminer.
