CraftMNL presents the first ever, Paper Craft Weekend on July 31, 3PM!

Three paper craft
activities, one weekend - for you and the family to learn, explore and enjoy:

1. Paper Flower Making - with a variety of paper materials, be guided in the intricacies and technical paper folding to create almost real looking flowers
.

2. Paper Embroidery - using a Yakan weave pattern, challenge yourself to stitch on card stock with a needle and thread, and create your own
triptych display.

3. Taka Painting - with a paper mache
horse and a paint kit, discover this heritage craft popularized in Paete and its rich history handed down from generations.

Our featured experts from CraftMNL -
Marielle Nadal Reyes, co-Founder of Craft MNL. A multi-disciplinary maker, focusing on the areas of embroidery, soap and candle making, as well as sewing.
Mary Velmonte Quevedo, an advocate for local and traditional crafts. She started the Takatak Project, which focuses on keeping alive the tradition and enterprise of producing paper mache figures traditionally shaped from wood carving, called taka.
